International cooperation is essential for addressing complex challenges such as the energy transition, but knowledge sharing does not automatically lead to impact. Through three short perspectives - on funding and science diplomacy, international cooperation, and the University of Groningen's role in translating knowledge into regional impact - the session will examine how international knowledge networks can contribute to innovation, regional development and business opportunities. An interactive discussion will invite participants to identify practical ways for universities, governments, funding organisations and industry to strengthen international networks and initiate new collaborations.
